How to I renew my ECDESIGN license?
When your license is about to expire, simply send an email to info@easysale.se and ask for a renewal.

ECDESIGN says I´m offline
If ECDESIGN is in offline mode, but you have an internet connection, then ECDESIGN is having some difficulty connecting. This is most likely to be either an update error, or problem related to firewalls blocking ECDESIGN.
A) Update error
We update ECDESIGN every few weeks at present. Usually, these updates complete without problems. There may be something in your configuration that is preventing the update completion. The most common cause is reduced “write” access to the ECESIGN installation directory. One the other hand, this may just have been an isolated occurrence. Contact us and our staff will help you get this problem solved easily.
B) Firewall blockage
If a firewall error occurs unexpectedly, after ECDESIGN has been working for some time, then it is likely to have been caused by an auto-update. The signature of ECDESIGN has changed. Even though ECDESIGN is in your exceptions list(s) for any firewall software you have active, it may no longer be the ‘current’ ECDESIGN application.

With some firewalls, the solution is to remove ECESIGN from your firewall exceptions list, and then add it again. In many cases there may be two firewalls. One that comes with the operating system (eg Windows Firewall), and another that comes with third-party security software (eg Norton Antivirus). Spotify will need to be added as a trusted application in both

Can I try a demo of ECDESIGN?
We do not have a demo version, instead we provide with live online presentations (webinar) so that you can see the software in action and also ask questions directly to our trained staff.

UAC Control
On some versions of Windows you will need to turn of the UAC control (user account control) in order to be able to see your machine id number during registration. Turn of the UAC if you only see a long row of zeros (00000) in your machine id field. Go to the Windows control panel and USER ACCOUNTS to turn of the UAC control.

Can I share a layout with another ECDESIGN user?
Yes, simply send the .ecd file by email. Make sure to include any custom images or textures used in the layout.

My HD rendered images are not emailed to me
Please make sure you have stated the correct email. Contact our staff if you have the correct email but still not receiving images.

Can I post a real-time 3D scene on a website and/or share with others?
Yes, In ECDESIGN go to FILE and then select EXPORT 3D.
Create a folder with a name and save the file.

This will create a folder with the VRML file and a texture folder, then upload the folder to the website and create a link to the 3D file.
Anyone will now be able to view and walk in 3D layout, they will however need to download a 3D viewer the first time.
There are many 3D viewers on the market, but we recommend BS Contact which you can download a test version from here.

I would like to have a fly-through movie of my layout
You can email us your scene and we will in 4-5 days create a beautiful HD fly through video complete with logotypes and music. Starting price 700 EUR per movie. You can also use a screen recording software like FRAPS, but it will be in the same quality as the real-time 3D and without music, logos etc.

I would like to print a large poster using one of my ECDESIGN created images
We can re-render images in very high resolution. Contact us for a detailed price list

How do post a message in the ECDESIGN Forum?
Simply create a user account and start post your messages.

I have changed computer and now ECDESIGN is not starting
Contact us and we will activate ECDESIGN on your new computer.

My computer was stolen/crashed. Can I re-install ECDESIGN?
Yes of course, simply email us and we will help you get started again.

What languages are ECDESIGN available in?
Currently we provide ECDESIGN in Swedish, English, German, French and Spanish.

Can I change to  different measurement units?
Yes, go to Program Settings in ECDESIGN to change unit format.

How long is a license valid?
365 days.

Can I use the same license for several PC's?
No, one license is valid for one computer.


Error message "XML must have top level document error" when starting ECDESIGN(see image)
If you receive this error message, simply start the ECDESIGN UPDATE and download latest update.

ECDESIGN closes when entering 3D mode
Most likely your computer is not meeting the Recommended System Requirements. See below for more specifications.


I have a computer with NVIDIA graphic card meeting the requirements, but 3D movement is slow
Go to the NVIDIA control panel (Right click mouse on your pc desktop, select NVIDIA graphic control. Make sure that your computer is using the dedicated graphics card and not the integrated (some computers have 2 graphic cards). View image for more information.

Can I use ECDESIGN on a MAC?
Yes, but you need Paralells desktop to run Windows applications on the MAC.

Can I use ECDESIGN on IPAD or other tablet?
Yes, with a remote desktop solution you can run ECDESIGN. We recommend Jump Desktop (www.jumpdesktop.com).
Using Jump Desktop you will be able to remotely connect to your computer and run ECDESIGN.

I want to add our products to ECDESIGN
Contact us and we will help you input your products. You need 3D models of your products. Preferred formats supported are 3D MAX, VRML, OBJ, STEP. If you do not have 3D models, than our staff can help you build the 3D models.

Can I email a live 3D scene?
Yes, simply render a live 3D scene. The email you receive back will include the rendered image AND the live 3D scene. The image and 3D scene remains on our servers for 7 days.

I want to create custom size mirrors
You can create special sized mirror with the real mirror reflection by first creating a primitive in the size of the mirror.
Then you select CUSTOM and search for the following image on your PC. C:\Program Files (x86)\EasySale\EcDesign 3\Textures\TEC_spegel. This will place a mirror image on your primitive which will include real reflection when rendered.

How do I use the IMPORT CAD FEATURE?
Click on the import CAD button, select the CAD file. The import window will now open and you can start drawing the ECDESIGN walls on top of the CAD drawing.
You can change the scale using the SCALE button. Click the Save and close button to return to ECDESIGN. For more information watch the video tutorial in the CAD IMPORT window or by following this Youtube link, .
